Why translate the site instead of just listing faster
The honest answer is that it wasn't a trade off. Listing volume is bottlenecked by sourcing and scanning, not by how many people are writing HTML, so the Spanish version got built in parallel rather than instead of anything. It covers the same three pillars as the English site: Gear, the Playbook and the Journal, plus both free calculators, all with the same content, not a stripped down version.
The reasoning behind it: our actual audience for the Gear and Playbook guides isn't limited to English speakers who happen to search in English. A lot of the Pokémon bulk market in South Florida specifically is Spanish speaking, searches in Spanish, and still buys on the same eBay in the same dollars. Writing the site only in English was leaving that half of the local market with nothing to find.
What's still just a number, not a claim
2,586 live listings is a count from our own inventory system, not an audited figure, the same caveat as every number in this Journal. What it does tell an honest story about is pace: roughly 130 net new listings a day over the past six days, sourcing, sorting, photographing and listing included. Some of that is new inventory going up for the first time, some of it is corrections from the audit in the last entry finally settling into a stable count.
