Jirachi ex is card 102 of 128 in Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration, a Double Rare with 160 HP. Pokémon revealed it July 7, in Japanese and English at once, timed to Tanabata, the star festival the Wish Pokémon has been linked to for years. PokeBeach reported it first, and the Japanese scan that followed backs up every number printed on the English card.
That simultaneous reveal is not the norm for this set. Most 30th Celebration cards have shown up in Japanese first, with an English number confirmed weeks later, the way Kyogre and Groudon did in late August. Jirachi ex skipped that gap and arrived with both printings and a full English slot on day one.

Jirachi ex is a Metal-type Basic Pokémon with two attacks that do almost opposite jobs. Wish Granter costs a single Colorless Energy and draws cards until the player holds seven. That reads like a first-turn play, not a finisher, cheap enough to fire off before doing anything else that turn.
Swift costs three Colorless Energy and hits for 150 damage that "isn't affected by Weakness or Resistance, or by any effects on your opponent's Active Pokémon." No discard afterward, no damage to your own bench, no locked-out follow-up turn. Compare that to Lugia's Elemental Blast, which hits just as hard but empties three Energy types the moment it lands. Swift just hits. It is the cleanest attack the anniversary reveals have shown so far, and it stands out precisely because this set keeps giving its Legendary Basics a catch, and this one doesn't have one.
The Japanese card lists Jirachi ex as 081/103 in set M6a, rarity RR, the local equivalent of a Double Rare. Every number matches the English version exactly: 160 HP, the same two attacks, a Fire weakness times two, a Grass resistance of 30, one Energy to retreat. 5ban Graphics illustrated both printings, and the artwork is identical between them, right down to the small Pikachu 30 mark floating in the corner of the scene.
The ex rule that comes with every high-HP attacker
160 HP is high for a Basic Pokémon, but it comes with the standard ex rule: when Jirachi ex is Knocked Out, the opponent takes two Prize cards instead of one. Nothing about that is unique to this card, every ex Pokémon carries the same rule, but it matters more here because Wish Granter is likely to put Jirachi ex on the Active spot early and often. A card built to draw on turn one is also a card the opponent can attack on turn one.
Where Jirachi ex sits in a growing set
Jirachi ex is one of the confirmed Double Rares in the English set so far, alongside Fuecoco ex, Espeon ex and Umbreon ex. It is not part of the 30 guaranteed Pikachu illustration cards we tracked separately. It belongs to the main numbered set instead, and its pull rate has not been published. If Jirachi ex gets a flashier alternate art somewhere else in the set, a Special Illustration Rare or a secret rare, that card has not been shown yet either, and anyone selling one today is selling a guess.
