Every Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration booster pack contains one Pikachu selected from 30 unique illustrations by 30 artists. That is a guaranteed Pikachu slot, not a guarantee of a different card in every pack. Duplicate copies are part of the opening math.
The set releases September 16, 2026. Each pack contains five foil cards plus one foil Basic Energy. One of those five cards is the Pikachu. The structure makes Pikachu common as a character while leaving each individual illustration dependent on its distribution inside the group.
The revealed Pikachu card numbers
The newest official gallery shows Pikachu cards numbered 23, 25, 26, 28, 30, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 47, 49, 50, 53 and 54. It also shows Pikachu ex cards 149 and 150. Earlier official reveals complete more of the 30 illustration group, so this article will remain the single tracker instead of splitting every reveal into a competing page.
The repeated card frame is deliberate. The artist changes, the illustration changes and the small Pikachu numbering at the lower left changes, but the anniversary treatment keeps the group recognizable inside a binder. That gives the subset a visual order without forcing every artist into the same style.
Pikachu ex 149 and 150 are the first obvious chases
Cards 149 and 150 stand apart before prices even enter the conversation. Both are full scene Pikachu ex cards with 190 HP. Card 149 uses Pika Pika Parade, an attack that searches the deck for any number of Basic Pokémon and puts them onto the Bench. Card 150 uses Zip Zap Frenzy, which can move Basic Energy from the hand to Pokémon in any way the player chooses.
The two scenes also fit the day and night language used across the anniversary products. Card 149 is bright, crowded and celebratory. Card 150 is darker and full of Ghost type characters. Collectors who treat them as a visual pair may create stronger demand for both than either card would receive alone.
Why 30 packs do not complete the set
If all 30 illustrations had exactly equal odds, opening 30 packs would still not produce a complete set on average. Repeats arrive before the final missing cards. The guaranteed slot improves the experience because every pack advances the Pikachu pile, but it does not remove the need to trade or buy singles.
Pokémon has not published the frequency of each Pikachu illustration. We should not assume that the 30 ordinary cards, Pikachu ex 149 and Pikachu ex 150 appear at the same rate. The exact completion cost depends on distribution, and that only becomes visible after large opening samples.

Card number matters more than a listing title that says only Pikachu. Photograph the lower left numbering, the finish and the complete front. Keep 149 and 150 separate from the numbered illustration group, and do not use one stock image for several versions. Buyers searching for one missing Pikachu need to see the exact art they will receive.
