How to use the result
Start with the exact card cost, not the asking price of the collection divided by the cards you hoped would sell. Add the supplies used by this order and the postage you actually expect to buy. Then copy the applicable fee rate from eBay’s current table or your own completed order.
A positive profit does not automatically make a card worth listing. The amount must also pay for identification, image capture, review, storage, retrieval and customer service. For low-value singles, labor is often the cost that makes the difference.

Why is sales tax an input?
eBay says the total amount used for the fee includes applicable sales tax. The seller may not know that amount before a buyer checks out, so zero is a reasonable planning estimate and a completed-order amount is better for reconciliation.
