Volume makes a price easier to test
A card with frequent sales gives buyers several current comparisons. That does not make the card safe or cheap. It makes the market more observable. The same list included strong twelve month gains and declines above fifty percent.
The ranking does not equal an investment recommendation
High volume can come from popularity, a large graded population, speculation or repeated resale. It can also make a falling price easier to see. Mega Charizard X and the Gem Pack Umbreon showed that a widely traded card can still fall after an early peak.
Use the list as a pricing tool
When selling, start with the latest completed sales instead of the displayed guide alone. When buying, compare raw and graded prices, certification populations and the number of new copies entering the market. Liquidity helps you find a price. It does not decide whether the price is sensible.
