PSA's own kit bundles most of this into one box: a mailer, 20 penny sleeves, 20 semi-rigid holders, a microfiber cloth, and 4 Ultra Pro card protectors. Buying the pieces separately usually costs less if you're submitting more than a handful of cards.

  • Penny sleeve

The first layer, directly on the card. Any brand, this is the sleeve you're taking off before the card goes in front of a grader anyway.

    Step1

  • Semi-rigid holder

Card Saver 1 or equivalent. Taped shut with painter's tape, never regular tape, on the holder itself, not touching the card.

    Step2

  • Submission form

Downloaded and filled out from PSA's site before anything ships, not something to figure out at the post office.

    Step3

  • Sturdy box, bubble wrap, tracking

A corrugated box, not a padded envelope, packed so the cards can't shift, shipped with tracking and insurance for what it's actually worth.
